Performed
for the Omaha District Corps of Engineers, this project included the
removal and replacement of existing concrete runway pavement. Sawcutting,
chipping, cleaning, placing grout and placing concrete were all a part
of this process (and all performed on the main flightline). When we were
complete, the Corps of Engineers commented that we set a new standard
for this type of work. Also, after our contract was completed, they
called us back for some additional work and actually had some of their
inspectors watch us so they could see the most effective way for this
type of patching to be accomplished.
