This project involved not only construction but engineering as well. Our task was to retrofit two existing block buildings to meet new DOD Antiterrorism criteria and provide and install a new state of the art security system. Blast proof glass, steel reinforced window frames, anchor type and size and structural glazing were just a few of the considerations when designing and providing the structural systems to meet the static loads, shear force, tension force and allowable member deformation requirements in the new anti-terrorism criteria.
